Well after a very long break from looking after myself due to work, life and general laziness
I thought it was about time I did something about it.
I hate commercial gyms (worked in the industry for over a decade) so dislike the atmosphere even down to the service you receive, working behind the scenes I know how much revenue the clubs make and how much goes back into it is questionable for a lot of gyms (not all).
Anyway lol this is not about gym hate its about me getting fit :)
I decided to start very basic after such a long break, its hard and daunting to start so basic and inexperienced again, but you have to keep your chin up swallow half a cup of ego and just go for it, after hundreds of hours telling clients its now time for me to really push past my demons and apply some willpower.
So with such an out of shape body, mind and soul "Homework out" looks like a good start for me
Even more daunting that I started my fitness journey 15 years ago with the same goal in mind (bare with me while I swallow another half cup of ego).
I was 21 I was fit, tanned and happy, I'm now 29 stressed, suffered multiple kidney stones, over weight and worn out lol.
The transition in to "adult" life can be tough especially on a lot of us that are forever young, after leaving the fitness industry I secured a regular 9 to 5 well 8 to 4 in my case
The wages are triple what I would earn even at the top of the food chain as a manager in a commercial gym so in monetary sense I have a lot less stress.
But money is not everything, working a full time job is not easy at the best of times but the switch over from the industry was a hard transition to working now in a office block on the edge of London.
From loud bright coloured uniforms and 5am weekend starts to Ralph Lauren shirts and shoes crunching numbers anxiously while consuming large amounts of coffee.
Well least this industry can supply me with the lifestyle I want, a Mercedes a nice house and the money and annual leave to enjoy it well if I stick with it any way.
So that is a bit of back ground to why I've started up the blog again and my pursuit of happiness will be posted from my motivations and journey to get fit, upgrade my life and increase my overall happiness.
So enjoy the writings of a normal person trying to make more money get fit and enjoy the world I live in.
